Positioning Geography aimed to cultivate an exciting and stimulating environment for geographers from all backgrounds to share perspectives and expand understandings of education, learning, knowledge and geography.

Some of the highlights included:

Pre-conference field trips led by acknowledged experts in the field with the aim of enhancing teacher capabilities in Year 12 and 13 physical and cultural processes (19 January).

Focus meetings on IGU commission activities with participation from the Ministry of Education (20 January).

Presentations, workshops and round tables with a focus on teaching and learning in geography (21-22 January).
