Major Subjects
The following subjects can be taken as a first or second major
for the BA degree, or as a second major for the BSocSc. These subjects can also
be taken as a supporting subject for the BA or the BSocSc.

Supporting Subjects
Most of the Arts and Social Sciences subjects can be taken as a supporting
subject. In addition, you can choose your supporting subject from those listed
below. Supporting subjects are useful in terms of emphasising the content of
the major subject you have chosen, and can be included in your programme of
study for either career purposes or purely for interest.
Flexibility of the BA
You are able to take up to 80 points outside the Arts subjects if you are enrolled in a BA. Your supporting subjects could therefore be from another area of the University, such as Marketing, Computer Science, or Earth Sciences, provided you meet the entry requirements. However, you cannot take Law or Professional Teacher education papers.
