上[うえ]の写真[しゃしん]は、あまりおいしそうでないかもしれません。。。　これはコーヒー･ゼリーです。黒[くろ]いのがコーヒーの色[いろ]で、少[すこ]し白[しろ]っぽいのはクリームです。ふつう、コーヒー･ゼリーはクリームと一緒[いっしょ]に食[た]べます。

ニュージーランドでは見[み]たことがありません。日本[にほん]では、どのスーパーでも売[う]っています。自分[じぶん]で作[つく]ることもできます。以前[いぜん](= before)、ニュージーランドの友[とも]だちに作[つく]ってあげたことがあります。「おいしい」と言[い]って食[た]べてくれました。でも、友[とも]だちは変[へん]な(= strange)食[た]べ物[もの]だと思[おも]ったようです。私[わたし]はとても好[す]きなんですけど…。

The photo above does not look so nice... This is coffee jelly. The black is the colour of coffee and the white-ish liquid is cream. We normally eat coffee jelly with cream.

I have never seen coffee jelly in New Zealand. We can find it in any supermarkets in Japan. You can make it at home too. Actually I made some for my friends here, in New Zealand before. Although they ate it and liked it, they thought it strange. Do you think so too? This is one of my favourite sweets though...
