Research Interests:

Jo's research areas include substance use and abuse, cultural psychology, sexual offending, and theoretical psychology. Her current research programme explores public attitudes to sexual offenders and how these influence clinical environments and ultimately treatment efficacy.

Jo is available to supervise graduate research in any of these areas and any other apsects of clinical psychology.

Expertise:

Jo is a lecturer in the Clinical Psychology Training Programme. Her clinical experience is primarily in the correctional field in which she has worked with sexual offenders. She also has experience with group treatment approaches.

Jo is particularly interested in philosophical and theoretical issues, in relation to clinical practice, but also within psychology generally.
