American Studies - Undergraduate Study

Bachelor of Arts (BA) | Degree Planner (pdf)
Certificate (Cert(Arts))
Diploma (Dip(Arts))

Graduate Certificate (GradCert(AmSt))
Graduate Diploma (GradDip(AmSt))

American Studies can be taken as a supporting subject for the BA degree, or as elective papers toward any qualification at the University of Waikato (assuming any required pre-requisites have been met).


Subject Regulations

To complete a supporting subject in American Studies, student must gain at least 70 points in the American Studies subject, including at least 40 points above 100 level.

Recommended in programme of study:
     ENGL108 American Literature 1
     or
     HIST105 Hyperpower: The United States

Note: Normal corequisites and prerequisites for the papers listed for this subject are waived when the paper is taken as part of the American Studies programme, except those taught in Spanish.
