BA(Hons) in German
Regulations
To be eligible to be considered for enrolment in BA(Hons), a student should normally have a minimum B average over their undergraduate German papers or should have at least a B average in their best three 300 Level German Papers.
The German Programme at the University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand, currently offers papers in Deutsch als Fremdsprache (DaF), which may be of particular interest to students from Germany who are studying DaF or Germanistik at home.
Students who have completed the equivalent of six semesters of academic study in Germany are currently eligible to enrol in the DaF papers offered at Waikato as 'graduate students' and, therefore, to pay only the graduate level fees for those papers. Note that the New Zealand graduate level fees are significantly lower than those for full fee paying international students.

Regulations
Students for the MA in German must take either a 120 point thesis, a 90 point thesis and 30 points from approved 500 Level papers, or a 60 point dissertation and 60 points from approved 500 Level papers.
