This paper explains the different models of modernisation adopted in Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore, focusing on the social, economic, political and cultural aspects of the modernisation process in these four predominantly Chinese-speaking regions within a comparative framework. This paper is taught in English.
