Theatre Studies - Careers

Theatre, film and/or television as actor, director, technician, designer or producer.

Teaching in the field of performing arts: the undergraduate Theatre Studies degree provides a structured programme of study which closely mirrors and extends the new Drama curriculum for schools, providing an excellent foundation for teacher training in Drama and the Performing Arts, and related subjects.

Many students take Theatre Studies papers to acquire skills which are valuable in other areas of study. In particular, Theatre Studies develops self-confidence and self-discipline, the ability to make informed decisions both independently and collaboratively, the ability to communicate clearly, the ability to interpret texts and, above all, an enhanced social, political and cultural awareness.

A BA degree with a Theatre Studies major provides a rich Arts education which can be applied in any chosen vocation.
