Exploring teacher cognition with activity theory: a case study of feedback given on the written assignments of undergraduate students
I had been teaching College English and Translation as a lecturer in China before I came to New Zealand. After graduated with a Master of Education in Waikato in 2005, I reflected more consciously on my teaching and learning experiences and decided to do further research to answer my queries of language teaching and learning and guide my further practices.
My research interests include academic writing, language teacher cognition, activity theory, and research methods, which are the key issues I wish to explore in my current research project. I wish the project could contribute to the theoretical construction of teacher cognition studies and the teaching of academic writing as well.
