HUGH KEARNS Wows the audience
Date / Time: 24 & 28 August 2015
Venue: Faculty of Education, University of Waikato
Hugh Kearns inspired and motivated faculty staff and PhD students with two workshops during the week. Hugh provided lively presentations packed with excellent techniques and approaches for turbocharging academic writing and for creating adequate time for research. The first workshop identified the many 'myths' that writers can be eluded by, that lead to procrastination as well as what steps can be taken to avoid being caught up in those myths. The second workshop focused on over commitment at work (how many balls are you trying to squash into the tube!), pressures from the digital world (including emails), procrastination and work/life balance.
