Waikato Journal of Education Special Issue: A teacher education partnership: The Solomon Islands and New Zealand

We are pleased to present another issue of the Waikato Journal of Education (WJE). This WJE special issue brings together perspectives about the New Zealand Aid Programme-funded Partnership between the University of Waikato’s Faculty of Education and the Solomon Islands’ School of Education to develop its capability in preparing teachers. The Partnership developed new ECE, primary and secondary teacher education qualifications, new teacher education curriculum, a research culture, leadership and strengthened organisational processes and practices. Articles outline aspects of those developments including building mutually respectful relationships and cross-cultural collaborations.
