This monograph presents eight case studies of teachers in the School of Education, University of Waikato. The focus is upon these teachers’ experiences in e-education.
Seven of the teachers have outlined their views about various aspects of their teaching in a mixed teaching methods version of the Bachelor of Teaching degree. The eighth study is a teacher of a graduate paper.
The School of Education at the University of Waikato started the Mixed Media Programme (MMP) in 1997, as an alternative method of studying for the Bachelor of Teaching degree.
There has been greater dependence on computer technology to effectively teach the mixed media students. This has changed many teachers perception of how to teach face-to-face.
The continual expansion of online learning will mean more online teachers, perpetuating further changes to teaching as a whole.
Having run for several years, it is important that the experiences of university teachers in MMP are recorded. This research monograph presents several case studies of university teachers’ experiences in teaching in MMP.
