Māori Education
Network Leader: Russell Bishop
The Māori Education research network’s goal is to uphold the University’s commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi by supporting educational research capable of fostering and facilitating the self-determination, aspirations, preferences and practices of indigenous peoples in New Zealand, Australia, and other international sites.
The network focus aligns with the government’s national goals of raising achievement and reducing disparities and is designed to meet the needs and aspirations of those local, national and international communities with whose members it maintains an ongoing collaborative relationship.
