Fertile Grounds

Visual Art Exhibition

OPEN 30 Sept - 29 Nov 2019
Mon-Fri, 9.00AM – 5.00PM

Fertile Grounds is a title employed to suggest several different meanings. The Waikato is perhaps most known for its fertile land, the Waikato University sits atop that land, instilling knowledge in young, fertile minds. Fertile Grounds the exhibition considers the relationship between people and the environment, offering an alternative to an anthropocentric society.

Curated by Laree Payne, Director of Weasel Gallery in Hamilton CBD, Fertile Grounds, brings together five disparate artists; Nicola Farquhar, Andrea du Chatenier, Peter Peryer, Denys Watkins and Ada Leung who offer a whimsical aesthetic experience, and substance for those who delve.
