Joining us in New Zealand

When the time comes to join us in New Zealand you will be able to switch to face-to-face teaching at either our Hamilton or Tauranga campuses. You will be guaranteed student accommodation at our Hamilton Campus.

We want to reassure you that the University of Waikato is still accepting applications for July, November 2020 and our 2021 intakes. We recognise what an uncertain time it is at the moment and that you will have many questions about your future study plans. We also encourage you to refer to the student page of our coronavirus (COVID-19) information hub for the most up-to-date information.
These programmes can be started online in July 2020 but not all are available for completion online, students will be expected to transfer to face-to-face learning once New Zealand border restrictions allow this to take place. Transferring your studies to face-to-face classes in New Zealand will be subject to meeting Immigration New Zealand Student Visa requirements.
