Dr Carimo Mohomed
Dr Carimo Mohomed is an independent researcher based in Lisbon and affiliated with the Catholic University of Portugal: (http://icm.ft.lisboa.ucp.pt/site/custom/template/ucptpl_fac.asp?sspageid=1133&artigoID=454&lang=1). He graduated with a degree in History in 1995 and obtained his doctorate in Political Theory and Analysis in 2012. In between, he specialised in Library and Information Sciences (2004) and Islamic Cultures, Civilisations and Religion (2006).
His main areas of interest have been the relationship between religion and politics in different cultural and civilisational contexts, past and present, which led him to the fields of Political Theology and History of Political Ideas, especially in the Islamic world, with a particular focus on different theories of justice, authority, and community, which led him to the field of Political Philosophy. Lately, he has also been working as a translator and writing several novels, short stories and a politico-theosophical treatise on Cosmopolitanism.
He sits on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Islamic Thought, the Journal of Philosophy and Ethics, the Journal of Islamic Research, the Annals of Global History, and on Teosofi: Jurnal Tasawuf dan Pemikiran Islam.
