Introduction to Āku Mahi


This iWaikato utility may be used by staff to:

  1. Check employment details for each current or historical job held at the University (records are kept from 1997)
  2. Maintain personal and emergency contact details
  3. Check personal qualification records held by the University
  4. View current and historical payslips (the previous and current years’ payslips are available)
  5. View year to date (YTD) earnings and deductions
  6. Check that bank account details for payments are correct and change if necessary
  7. View leave balances and leave history online
  8. Make leave bookings online (directed to line manager for electronic approval)
  9. View current or pending leave transactions to monitor the approval process
  10. Create and submit timesheets (casual and sessional staff)

It may be used by line managers to:

  1. View details of members of their team, including a leave matrix for any defined 4 week period, current leave balances of team members and history of leave taken by team members
  2. Process leave bookings electronically
  3. Approve timesheets electronically
  4. Process e-recruitment for panel members
