The Student Centre is a state-of-the-art multi-functional facility on Hamilton Campus that provides students with a student-centred learning environment, combining traditional library resources with hi-tech IT facilities. The Centre is also a central hub for support for students.

There is also a brand new multi-level building in the Tauranga CBD featuring all the same student services as the Hamilton campus, this includes their Student Hub on level 1, Library and 24/7 Computer Lab

Computer Lab Access

The Student Centre computer labs are on Level 2 and 3 of the Library.
Level 3 hours:
are the same as the Library hours. ICT Support (see support below) is available from 8.30 till 5.00 Monday to Friday. Library staff can assist with some issues outside of these hours.

Level 2 hours
Level 2 Computer Area is open for students to use 24 hours a day, seven days a week. ICT Support (see support below) is available from 8.30 till 5.00 Monday to Friday. There will be no support / staff on after hours.

After Hours Access
Ask at the Level 2 Desk for a form which verifies that you are a currently enrolled student. Take the form to Security who will programme your ID card to open the door. Note that there is no charge for gaining after-hours access. You will then have after-hours access using your ID card. Access is available 5 minutes after the Library closes each day.

You'll only be able to log onto the Student Centre computers if you're a currently enrolled student. If you can't find any available seats at these areas, then seek out a computer lab in your own school.

Support

ICT Support is available from 8.30 till 5.00 Monday to Friday. Library staff can assist with some issues outside these hours.You can call ICT Support staff using the Student Centre lab phone just inside the double doors to the lab on the left. Push button 1 to speak with them and if required they may come and assist you at your desk. You can also call them on the extension or mobile number listed here.You need to talk to them in the first instance as they are in the building and can come to see what you are doing etc, If required they can phone the Service Desk if further action is required or a job needs to be logged.

Chinese, Japanese and Korean Characters

All the computers in the Student Centre are set up so that web pages in Chinese, Japanese or Korean may be viewed in Internet Explorer. There is Microsoft Office software on all computers that also supports Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters.

"Kuhukuhu" is our IT Service Catalogue. You can search for and log your own service requests. You can also view the status of your current requests and see the estimated delivery time for them, provide further information by adding notes or attaching files, and view a full history of all previous requests.
