Moodle Help for Staff
There are extensive Moodle help files for staff available online in our eLearning Resources Help Files.
Also, check out the General Semester Reminders (more expanded info than below) at the beginning of each semester to refresh your memory.
In order to see and have access to your paper/s in Moodle, you will need to speak to your administrator who will add your name to Jade via the web interface tool they have access to.
NOTE: If you require a meta-paper (two occurrences taught in the one Moodle space) please advise your administrator (including all relevant paper occurrence details) or complete the Meta-paper Request form BEFORE you begin development on your paper.
Organise your course, how the sections are displayed and add any blocks that may be required (e.g. Panopto block if your lectures are being recorded). Change permissions or restrict access, address plagiarism by enabling Turnitin etc. (See QuickFind below)
Import content from a previous year ( also through Moodle Help (in the red banner in Moodle) > Staff Training Modules > Moodle User Course > Importing Moodle Material), Add Resources and Activities for students to view, participate or interact in.
The last thing to do once your paper is set up is to make the paper available to students (Settings - Paper administration - Edit settings) and select "Show" from the Visibility drop down. This is often forgotten as staff have access and forget that it needs to be turned on for students.
If you have a guest visitor/lecturer that needs access to your paper (and they won't have an HR contract) see Moodle Access for Guest Lecturers for the process to get them access.

Log Your Own Ticket
The University has provided a Self Service tool through which you can log your own tickets (jobs). You can also search for a previously logged ticket to check it's status. For urgent jobs you can phone the ITS Service Desk: ext 4008 (838 4008) for support.
