Using Your Phone
The instructions below are the main functions on your analogue, digital or Cisco phone.
Cisco Jabber Softphone
The Cisco Jabber softphone platform streamlines communications and enhances productivity on many devices. It unifies online presence, instant messaging, video, voice, voice messaging, and conferencing capabilities securely into one client on your desktop, laptop or mobile device.

Digital Telephone
The below info is for a digital phone, also called Meridian or System telephone (one with lots of buttons and an LCD display).

LAST NUMBER REDIAL |

CALL FORWARD |

You can still make calls on your telephone, but only the extension to which you have forwarded the phone can call you.
While call forward is active you will get an interrupted dial tone. |

SYSTEM SPEED CALL |
| You have to be included in a Speed Call Group to use this feature. |
To program |
| Only the controller of the list can enter the program numbers. |
AUTOMATED ATTENDANT |
From a telephone outside the University:
| Direct Dial-In numbers can be reached directly without using the Automated Attendant. For extensions beginning with 4 precede the number with 838, for those beginning with 5 precede the number with 858. |
Analog Telephone
In the instructions below Hook-flash refers to briefly pressing and releasing the switch-hook i.e. this is the switch that is activated by hanging up the telephone. Some telephones have a [Recall] button which achieves the same result.
