Wireless Printing from your device

Wireless printing allows you to print from mobile or wifi devices when connected to a University network.

Mobile Print

Or  you can use webprint as follows

  • Make sure your device is connected to a University of Waikato network, i.e.:- Eduroam, UOW Students,  Ethernet (wired) connection within UOW
  • In your internet browser go to the webprint server
    https://mfd-webprint.its.waikato.ac.nz
  • Login with your Waikato username and password
  • Click on Submit a Job

  • Click on  Upload a Document and browse to the document you wish to print
  • Click on  Upload and Complete
  • Once the  document status changes to  "Held in a Queue" you will be able to release you job  from the queue

If you are printing to  a KM Printer please use the instructions below

On your device:

  1. Make sure your device is connected to a University of Waikato network, i.e.:
    - Eduroam
    - UOW Students or UOW Halls
    - Ethernet (wired) connection within UOW
  2. In your internet browser go to the webprint server:
    https://webprint.its.waikato.ac.nz
  3. Login with your Waikato username and password
  1. Select and upload the file you want to print

  2. Select each file and click on the ‘Change’ button to alter print attributes for that file
    eg: colour, number of copies, page range, etc

  3. Click ‘Select All’
  4. Click ‘Print Now’
  1. Review the Job Details, then select ‘Yes’.
    Go to the printer to release the print job.

  2. Use your ID/Swipe Card to release your printing at a Follow Me Printer (KM MFD) on campus.

Notes:
- printing is held in the print queue for 24 hours
- printing is charged on release at the printer
- printing will only release if there is a positive UniCash balance

You can also view the status of your current requests and see the estimated delivery time for them, provide further information by adding notes or attaching files, and view a full history of all previous requests.
