What to do when your system has been compromised

  • Using a different uncompromised computer, change all passwords for any application/website that you accessed on the compromised computer, including Social Media, Email, University logins, banking logins, etc.
  • Ensure the computer’s antivirus software is up to date and then perform a full virus scan on the computer.
  • If problems persist take it to a computer service centre and have it professionally serviced.
