A written codified constitution – how the project is progressing?
Sir Geoffrey Palmer will present his thoughts of the question “should the rules by which public power is exercised all be written down in one place, so New Zealanders can find and understand them?” New Zealand’s constitution is hard to find and harder to understand, argue Sir Geoffrey Palmer and Dr Andrew Butler in their recent book. In their view, a codified constitution is necessary so that people know how public power is and should be exercised.
