Borrowing
All current members can borrow books, journals, maps and other materials from any of our Libraries in any of these locations - The Library in the Student Centre and Teaching Resources Library (items available may vary depending on the location).
Item borrowing limits
Students and staff can borrow:
- 100 items per person, at any one time
- Two High Demand items per person, at any one time
Associate and Alumni members can borrow:
- Ten items out at any one time
Loan periods
The length of time you can borrow an item for will depend on your Library Membership. See the following tables for borrowing times for all Library material, or Contact Us for assistance.

Accessible alternatives
Searching
Library Search and most of our online resources are accessible from any workstation via the Library website. If access to any of the Kiosks or computers is problematic, please ask for assistance at the Level 2 Library Service Desk.
Collecting
You can put a request on an item through Library Search and we will notify you when the items are available. If you are unable to do this you can email [email protected] or ask for assistance at the level 2 Library Service Desk. Please include title, author and call number of the items you require.
If you have any problems reaching or pulling items from the shelf let us know and we will get the items for you or provide assistance while you browse. For information or help, please contact as above or the University Accessibility Services Manager.
