Journal Articles
Library Search
Library Search is a really good starting point for locating journal articles. A number of the New Zealand and key overseas journals are searchable there. If you cannot find the article you need by full text searching try searching for the name of the journal as it might be something only held on Westlaw or Lexis Advance and therefore not covered by library search. If this is the case you'll need to search the databases directly.

Lexis Advance
In Lexis Advance journal articles fall under the category of "analytical materials" along with commentaries and other secondary sources. To find journal articles do a search using the analytical materials search template or just use the main search box and choose "analytical materials" as the results content type. From there you can limit to either full-text articles or journal indexes.

Westlaw NZ
The journals collection on Westlaw NZ contains the Legal Writing Index as well as a few full-text journals. You can search these from the database's home page, or you can use the Journals search template.Unless you limit your search to one (or more) of the full-text journals many of the results you will get will be index entries only. You'll need to use Library Search to locate the journals either in print or online.
