Advertising Standards Authority


The primary function of the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) is to self-regulate advertising in New Zealand. The ASA maintains acceptable standards of advertising, and funds the Advertising Standards Complaints Board (ASCB).

Codes of practice for specific categories of advertising were developed and are maintained by the ASA in consultation with interested groups and government departments.
