Reading Recovery

Reading Recovery is a successful early literacy intervention developed by Dame Marie Clay to reduce the number of children with literacy difficulties in schools. Our team of expert teachers provide intensive one-to-one teaching on a daily basis for children making the slowest progress in reading and writing after a year at school. Our reading recovery tutors are based in Gisborne, Rotorua, Tauranga, and Hamilton, and also work in Whakatāne, Taupō, Paeroa, and Te Kuiti.  Our South Island tutors work in Christchurch, Nelson/Marlborough, Timaru and the  West Coast.
