Research Interests

My research interests centre around music in everyday lives, with a particular focus on the musical experiences of young children. My PhD research explored the spontaneous singing of three- and four-year-old children at home and how they used singing as a tool of agency. Current research projects include an inquiry into professional musicians performing in early childhood education settings and an international collaboration investigating mothers' perceptions of their infant-directed musical activities.
