About Geeta

Dr Geeta Rani Duppati had several years of teaching experience in India and Ethiopia, as well as Auckland University of Technology, before moving to Waikato Management School at the University of Waikato in 2010.  Dr Duppati maintains her links with India as a visiting lecturer at the Institute of Public Enterprise in Hyderabad.

Recently in 2017 she received Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand (AFAANZ) Research Grants. Her current research interests are primarily concerned with corporate governance, asset pricing, corporate social responsibility, Innovation and Firm specific risk, and mergers and acquisitions.  She has several publications in the area and is involved in professional development work with large corporates' in India.
