About Geeta

Dr. Geeta Rani Duppati had seventeen years of teaching experience in India, Ethiopia, and Eritrea, as well as Auckland University of Technology, before moving to Waikato Management School at the University of Waikato in 2010.

As an academic, she taught a range of papers in Corporate Finance, International Finance, Investment Theory, Capital Markets, and Financial Institutions, Entrepreneurial Finance, Financial Theory and Corporate Policy, Investment and Portfolio Management, Financial Theory and Corporate Policy, Sustainability and Responsibility Management, amongst various others for nearly twenty-eight years.

Her current research interests include Green Finance, Renewable Energies, Sustainability Performance, Exchange Traded Funds, Financing decisions, Liquidity Risk, and Ownership Structures.  She has several publications in the area and is involved in professional development work with large corporates' in India. In 2017 she received Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand (AFAANZ) Research Grants.

As an Extra-Ordinary Associate Professor Dr. Duppati maintains her links with New West University, South Africa., Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, India, and Institute of Public Enterprise in Hyderabad, India.
