About Kathryn
Kathryn Pavlovich is a professor of strategic management and entrepreneurship at the University of Waikato Management School, Hamilton, New Zealand. Her teaching and research focus on global systems change – through relational forms of organising, and the development of purposeful leaders and enterprises, with spirituality and sustainability at the core of human flourishing.
She has published in leading journals such as the Academy of Management Perspectives. Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Business Ethics, Long Range Planning, International Small Business Journal and Tourism Management.
Kathryn is a past Chair for the Management, Spirituality and Religion interest group of the Academy of Management. She is editor-in-chief of the Journal of Management, Spirituality and Religion, associate editor for the Journal of Management Education and on the editorial board of Journal of Business Ethics and the Academy of Management Learning and Education.

Kathryn is available to supervise in the following areas:
1. The creation of organisational purpose. The development of a normative theory that advances the pursuit of an organisational higher purpose for the betterment of society.
2. Regenerative food systems. The development of regenerative food systems provides a pathway to an abundant and resilient future by shifting from a narrative of human dominion to one of co-creating our relationship with the Earth.
3. Quantum organising. How can quantum physics helps us understand and explain collective organising - particularly in relation to addressing the Grand Challenges.
Research Interests
Kathryn's research interests focus on systems change. She is particularly interested on the organisation-societal interface – through relational forms of organising, and the development of purposeful leaders and enterprises, with spirituality and sustainability at the core of human flourishing.
Her specific research topics are:
