About Leni

Mālō ‘e lelei,

My name is Leni Lolohea. My roots trace me back to the jewel of the Pacific, The Kingdom of Tonga. However, I was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand. Growing up, I was always fascinated with the theory of development specifically Maori and Pacific development whilst having a strong political interest. The University of Waikato offered my courses and I was therefore honored to study and graduate with a B/A double majoring in Political Science and Maori and Pacific Development. I also hold a PGDip in Development studies and currently in my last year of my Master’s degree in Maori and Pacific Development. The University of Waikato has groomed me with outstanding knowledge, quality networks, life-long skills and more that I plan to use as a Future Student Adviser. My role as a Future Student Adviser – Pacific means I am based in Auckland and Hamilton. I look forward to assisting prospective students to our prestigious university to help and grow in pursuit of their career goals.
