About Menaka

I am a Learning Developer (English Language) at the Centre for Tertiary Teaching and Learning (CeTTL) – Te Puna Ako. As a part of the English language development team, I carry out writing and speaking assessments for testing purposes1 and 1:1 grammar sessions to help students with their writing. I also facilitate conversation groups (f2f & via Zoom) to help improve listening, speaking, pronunciation & presentation skills.

My most recent project has been the development of the new Student Learning website, where content-creation was carried out in collaboration with others in the Student Learning team:

I have worked at two universities in supervisory management roles in relation to student computing services and libraries. I actively encourage learner autonomy, by creating and linking Open Educational Resources (OERs) for eLearning and mLearning for English language students.
