About Sam

Sam has been a design practitioner for 17 years in the UK creative industry. He has graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design and MA in Design. He has an affinity for critical thinking and encouraging students to truly observe their surroundings, ideas are everywhere and design is in everything. The key is to challenge convention.

Design is a cyclical process of making and breaking, it is common to make mistakes in order to reflect and improve with every iteration.

Sam has been at NZUWI since October 2020, he strongly believes in an open-door policy where students can drop by and discuss any matters, he advocates a culture of transparency and communication.
