This paper enables students to combine typography successfully with graphic elements and diagrammatic illustration and photographic images and to compose pages of type confidently and skilfully. In this paper students will look at the traditional connotations of styles of type, Gestalt theory, the unit composite grid, traditional book design and page proportions, as well as digital media.
