Here at Te Whare Wānanga o Waikato, we have a huge network of Māori staff and students to support you on your journey. Whether you are a first year student or have returned from the workforce to enter postgraduate studies, we are here to ensure your time at University is a success.

Māori Mentoring Units

Our Māori Mentoring Units are dedicated to improving Māori student achievement at Te Whare Wānanga o Waikato.

Te Āhurutanga

Te Āhurutanga Māori Student Leadership Programme aims to develop and nurture Māori students to become good leaders and global citizens of the world.

Te Toi o Matariki

He karanga maioha tēnei ki ngā tauira Māori o Te Whare Wānanga o Waikato e whai nei i ngā tohu hōnore, ngā tohu paerua rānei.

Accommodation

Bryant Hall has a kaupapa Māori floor for people who wish to live in an environment that fosters manaakitanga, whanaungatanga, te reo Māori and tikanga Māori.

Counselling Service

Coming to University means big changes in your life and you may need someone to talk to if you experience personal stress, course related difficulties or relationship problems.
