This major curriculum guidelines development project, funded by the Ministry of Education, began in 2004 and was completed in June 2006.
The LEAP project aimed to develop web-based guidelines for teachers that support the learning of bilingual Pasifika students in mainstream (English-medium) classrooms in New Zealand schools.
The web-based guidelines, including associated tasks for teachers, are housed on the TKI site.
