Bethany is in her second year of a bachelor of music, majoring in Performance Cello. She began piano lessons at age six and began playing the cello when she was 10. Bethany has played in a range of performances, each teaching her something different about performing. Some of her musical highlights include performing In the Adam summer school of chamber music and performing Messiaen's Eclairs Sur l'au Dela with the National Youth Orchestra and NZSO. The biggest achievement for Bethany comes when she performs a piece where she can fully express herself. In future, Bethany hopes to perform regularly with orchestras and chamber groups.

In 2017, Bethany was a finalist in the University Concerto Competition, playing Haydn cello concerto in C
