David is in his second year of studying for a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in both English and Theatre Studies. David began acting in 2014, whilst studying at Mount Maunganui College. During his time there, David was named 'Performing Arts Male of the Year' on two separate occasions, and to date, is the only student to receive the honour twice. For his contribution to the arts at Mount Maunganui College, David received 20 awards during his time at the school. In his final year, he was named Deputy Head Boy for Performing Arts. David was selected as a member of Shakespeare's Globe Centre New Zealand's Young Shakespeare company, after winning 'Best Performer' in the Western Bay of Plenty regional festival, and his performance at the National festival in Wellington. David travelled to London in 2016 and performed The Taming of the Shrew at the Globe Theatre, an achievement he will never forget. Whilst here at the University of Waikato, David has been involved with Carving In Ice Theatre Company, performing in Caress/Ache in 2017, and Just to Get Married in 2018. He has served as a class representative twice, the President of the Bryant Hall Resident's Association, and is currently a member of the Residental Staff team at Bryant Hall. David intends to become an actor and playwright once he has completed his Bachelor of Arts here at the University of Waikato.
