Hannah Jensen

Inline Hockey/Ice Hockey

Hannah is in her 2nd year of study at the University of Waikato, completing a Bachelor of Management Degree, majoring in Strategic Management. Raised in Hamilton, Hannah attended Fraser High School where she became Head Girl in her final year. Her sporting highlights include winning the 2016 AAU Inline Hockey Junior Olympics as captain of the NZ Inline Hockey Junior Women Team. She also placed 3rd at the 2017 Div 2b IIHF Women’s Ice Hockey World Championships with the NZ Ice Fernz. Another highlight for Hannah was receiving a bronze medal at the 2017 World Roller Games. She is also passionate about coaching and is looking forward to being the assistant coach of the 2018 NZ Junior Women Team at the Inline Hockey World Championships. Hannah is grateful to be involved in the Sir Edmund Hillary Programme and has enjoyed the sporting and personal development opportunities that she has been a part of.

Selected to 2017 NZ Ice Fernz Team - 05/03/2017

New Zealand Women's Ice Hockey Team. To play at the IIHF Women's Ice Hockey World Championships, Division 2B in Akureyri, Iceland against Spain, Mexico, Iceland, Turkey and Romania. Includes 2 week training camp pre competition. 3rd year competiting as a member of this team.  

3rd Place Ice Hockey World Champs - 05/03/2017

New Zealand Ice Fernz placed 3rd at the 2017 IIHF Women's Ice Hockey World Championships, Division 2B, Akureyri, Iceland. First time that this team has received a medal since 2012. 

Selected to 2017 NZ Senior Women Inline Hockey Team - 10/04/2017

National Senior Womens Inline Hockey team, to complete at the World Roller Games (Inline Hockey World Champs) in Nanjing, China from August 24th to September 10th 2017. This is my 4th year as a member of this team. 

Selected to 2017 NZ Junior Women Inline Hockey Team - 10/04/2017

2017 New Zealand Junior Women Inline Hockey team, to compete at the 2017 World Roller Games (Inline Hockey World Championships) in Nanjing, China from the 24th of August to the 10th of September (International competition). This is my 4th year as a member of this team and the last year that I am eligble for it.

Named Coach of 2017 U14 Waikato Regional Junior Women Team - 22/07/2017

To compete at the NZ Inline Hockey Regional Championships held in Auckland from the 20th -23rd of October. This is the first year that I have had this role.  

3rd Place World Roller Games Junior Women - 10/09/2017

My 2017 NZ Junior Women Inline Hockey team placed 3rd at the 2017 World Roller Games/ Inline Hockey World Championships in Nanjing, China. 

6th Place World Roller Games Senior Women - 10/09/2017

My NZ Senior Women Inline Hockey Team placed 6th at the 2017 World Roller Games/Inline Hockey World Championships in Nanjing, China. This was an impressive result for us as the previous year we placed 13th. 

1st Place 2017 NZ Inline Hockey National Championships, Senior Women grade - 06/10/2017

My Hamilton Inline Hockey Womens team placed 1st at the 2017 NZ National championships in New Plymouth.   

Most Valuable Player NZ National Champs, Senior Women grade - 06/10/2017

Named most valuable player in the Senior Women Grade at the 2017 NZ National Championships in New Playmouth. 

1st Place 2017 NZ Inline Hockey Regional Championships, Senior Women Grade - 23/10/2017

My Waikato Regional Women's team placed 1st at the 2017 NZ Regional Inline Hockey Championships in Auckland.
