Inline Hockey/Ice Hockey

Hannah Jensen began playing inline hockey at age 11 in her intermediate school league team and progressed to ice hockey at age 16 where she then joined the U16 Auckland ice hockey team and the Auckland Women’s regional team. She has represented NZ in inline hockey and ice hockey, and says she loves the fast pace and intensity of the sport. She also enjoys how strategic hockey is. She says it requires creativity and quick thinking which means no two games are the same. Hannah has competed in many competitions all over the world including the 2016 Inline Hockey World Championships in, Asiago, Italy and the 2016 International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Championships in, Jaca, Spain. Her biggest achievement to date was placing 1st at the 2016 AAU Inline Hockey Junior Olympics with NZ Junior Women Team. She has big aspirations including playing hockey in France and/or Spain and continuing to compete at an international level. Hannah plans to study for a conjoint Bachelor of Management and Bachelor of Social Sciences.

Selected to 2017 NZ Ice Fernz Team - 05/03/2017

New Zealand Women's Ice Hockey Team. To play at the IIHF Women's Ice Hockey World Championships, Division 2B in Akureyri, Iceland against Spain, Mexico, Iceland, Turkey and Romania. Includes 2 week training camp pre competition. 3rd year competiting as a member of this team.  

3rd Place Ice Hockey World Champs - 05/03/2017

New Zealand Ice Fernz placed 3rd at the 2017 IIHF Women's Ice Hockey World Championships, Division 2B, Akureyri, Iceland. First time that this team has received a medal since 2012. 

Selected to 2017 NZ Senior Women Inline Hockey Team - 10/04/2017

National Senior Womens Inline Hockey team, to complete at the World Roller Games (Inline Hockey World Champs) in Nanjing, China from August 24th to September 10th 2017. This is my 4th year as a member of this team. 

Selected to 2017 NZ Junior Women Inline Hockey Team - 10/04/2017

2017 New Zealand Junior Women Inline Hockey team, to compete at the 2017 World Roller Games (Inline Hockey World Championships) in Nanjing, China from the 24th of August to the 10th of September (International competition). This is my 4th year as a member of this team and the last year that I am eligble for it.

Named Coach of 2017 U14 Waikato Regional Junior Women Team - 22/07/2017

To compete at the NZ Inline Hockey Regional Championships held in Auckland from the 20th -23rd of October. This is the first year that I have had this role.
