    Jeremy Mayall : PhD(Mus)

    Jeremy Mayall


    Jeremy is in his third year of study for his PhD in Music (composition). Outside of his study Jeremy has been working as a freelance musician/composer and as a youth mentor. Jeremy regularly speaks as a mentor for youth at leadership and music education events around the country. Recently Jeremy has been nominated for, and won awards in a number of film festivals for his music. He also regularly performs as a soloist and with a range of ensembles working within and between different genre worlds. Highlights from his creative work include, performing theremin with the APO, performing turntables with the NZSO playing his "Symphony No.1", and releasing his multiple albums. ( for more info) Jeremy aspires to continue composing music for as long as he can imagine. His other pursuits outside of music are as a children's entertainer, marriage celebrant and NZ's first competitive beard representative - as well as spending heaps of time with his son Wolfgang.
