Athletics

Coming from the Bay of Plenty where she was a prefect at Tauranga Girls’ College, Mariah has been the recipient of the Blue Light scholarship and a Bay Trust Athlete scholarship for her achievements in athletics. She has competed at a national and international level, winning bronze for U18 long jump at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games (Under 18) in India and recently came first in the 19 and under women’s 100 meters at the national athletics championships in Dunedin.

Achievements

New Zealand Track and Field Championships - 24/03/2013
At the New Zealand Track and Field Championships in Auckland, I won the senior (open) women's 100m and Long Jump. This was my first year in the senior grade and I was one of only two athletes at the championships to win double senior titles.
2017 Queensland Championships - 16/03/2017

1st place in Senior Women's Long Jump at the 2017 Queensland State Championships, held at Brisbane on 24 February

New Zealand Championships - 17/03/2017

2nd in Long Jump at New Zealand Track and Field Championships
