International Student Tuition Fees
The following tuition fee information for international students is an estimated annual tuition fee (unless otherwise stated), based on a typical 'Equivalent Fulltime Student' (EFTS) annual workload of papers for the listed school of studies or programme.
Actual fees for degree, diploma and certificate programmes are charged on a per-paper (course) basis, so actual fees payable will vary depending on actual number of papers (courses) selected at time of enrolment.
Fees for international students starting a new qualification will be held at the level for the normal length of the
qualification based on continuous full-time study. This practice is known as “fee grandparenting” and enables students to
estimate their fees for the normal duration of their qualification. Tuition fee schedules of previous years can be viewed here.

Please note that all tuition fees are shown in New Zealand dollars and need to be converted into your country's currency. You can use an online currency converter to do this.

All new international PhD students, studying full-time, may be eligible to pay Domestic New Zealand annual tuition fees. PhD fees are not subject to fixed fee grandparenting, and may be subject to annual increase.
To hold domestic student status, international Doctor of Philosophy students must be resident in New Zealand during their study, except for temporary absences for the purposes of their research.
