Dr Sean Goltz
Sean Goltz earned his PhD at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Canada and his LLB and LLM degrees with The University of Haifa.
Sean believes in developing technology-driven legal tools and employing legal entrepreneurship to regulate the harmful effects of technology (especially for children) on one hand, and harness technology for the benefit of the law, on the other hand.
As part of his research, Sean has developed privacygames.com, and online educational tool to teach teenagers about their legal rights and obligations (now in the prototype stage).
Sean is licensed to practise law in Israel and Canada. As part of Israel’s leading technology law firm, Sean has consulted the Israeli court system in its multi-million internationally ground- breaking digitizing project involving multinational cooperation with IBM and Microsoft. Sean has represented corporations and private clients in various legal matters including technology, land and litigation, in both countries.
He has published articles on law and technology, regulation, and land law and is the co-author of the book Privacy Rights in the Global Digital Economy: Everyday Legal Problems and Canadian Paths to Justice published by Irwin Law and the co-author of a chapter in a book titled Media and Education in the Digital Age.
