The mission of the Centre for New Zealand Jurisprudence is to foster legal research, with a particular emphasis on the development of a multi disciplinary and contextual New Zealand jurisprudence. The Centre endeavours to support projects promoting the understanding of law in the international, national and bicultural contexts. Through this research the Centre will contribute to legal education, legal reform, and the professional practice of law. In particular, the Centre may conduct or commission research, host visiting scholars, organise seminars and conferences, publish monographs, and so on, either solely or in conjunction with other departments, agencies and communities.
