  • After-hours access to the Level 2 Computer area

    Do you require after-hours access to the Level 2 computer area? You need to have after-hours access enabled on your ID card. Collect an authorisation form from the Library staff on Level 2.

    SpringerLink provides scientific, technical, and medical information in over 2,500 full-text journals and 12,000 e-books. Journals and e-books cover fields such as, life sciences, chemistry, physics, engineering, earth sciences, geography, computer science, social sciences and economics.

    There are plenty of tutorials on this month to help you get started in Semester A. Just jump on our Library Tutorials page to find out what's on offer or book a tutorial. The Library also offers lots of other study and research help, including study guides, subject portals and referencing help.

  • Welcome to Week 1: Library tours and tutorials

    We have some great tutorials to set you up for the semester ahead. Come along to a LIBY101: Library Essentials tutorial and learn all about the library, or attend a more specific tutorial. During Week 1, Library Tours are running at 11am and 2.15pm and leave from Level 2 of the Student Centre.

    Our first meeting will be on Wednesday March 1 where we will be discussing New Zealand picturebook award winners from the last few years. What is the Picturebook Club?

    Get your year off to a great start by joining in our ORI2017 activities. Come along to a Library 101 session where you'll learn how to find quality academic material for assignments, place requests, check your account, book a group room and much, much more. Then jump on board a Library tour. Tours run daily at 11am and 2.15pm and leave from Level 2 of the Student Centre. Spot prizes up for grabs!

  • Changes to Research & Assignment Help services 2 February 2017

    Research & Assignment Help services have relocated from Level 2 service desk to Levels 3 and 4. Library users can get assistance on Level 3 and from the service desk on Level 4, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. During the evenings and weekends, Research & Assignment Help will be available on Level 2. All borrowing services and enquiries will continue to be available as usual on Level 2 (entrance level).

  • Progress UPDATE: Adding e-resources to Library Search

    We are still in the process of migrating some library e-resources into Library Search and even though this is a priority for us, the way some suppliers are setup requires considerable manual intervention. In the meantime the Interim Library Search guide provides valuable information on how to use the new system.

  • Library System Update: Changes to Interlibrary Loan renewals

    Due to the implementation of the new Library Services Platform, please request interloan renewals, via My Interloan. See Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery for details and instructions.
