Social customs, manners and menus
Howick Historical Village
A living museum presenting life in a Fencible Village during the early settlement of Europeans
in Auckland. The village contains over 30 restored buildings and includes raupo whares,
courthouse, schools, general store, fencible soldiers cottages, church and forge. It is an
authentic representation of a 19th century village
Internet History Sourcebooks Project
The Internet History Sourcebooks are collections of public domain and copy-permitted historical
texts presented cleanly (without advertising or excessive layout) for educational use

LEARNZ is an online education programme for students in New Zealand schools. It offers 19 virtual field trip experiences in 2006
