An enthusiasm and focus on improving my practice has lead me to become an effective Literacy Facilitator for the University of Waikato. Secondary trained, I strive to support positive literacy and learning outcomes. I believe that whanaungatanga is the key to successful outcomes for all of us and this is the anchor for my professional practice.
Working productively and positively to support schools to develop and hone their teaching and learning programmes gives me joy. I relish the opportunities to work collaboratively with teachers in teaching and learning spaces; with teachers and leaders in leading professional learning and practice in schools; with leaders across schools and the community to facilitate constructive transitional pathways for students.
