Right in the heart of campus, situated in grounds with mature trees, Bryant Hall is the smallest of the fully catered Halls of Residence. The 3 multi-storey residences and 4 cottages are home every year to 201 students from mainly the far north and central New Zealand as well as all over the world.
Catered, furnished single study bedrooms are available to 178 residents. Self-catered single bedrooms in the cottages are available to another 20, with 3 single bedroom flats utilised by senior staff.
There are 20 to 26 rooms make up a 'floor', which includes a Residential Assistant. Residents have access to bathrooms with lockable showers and toilets. All floors have a kitchenette equipped with a fridge, microwave and hotwater unit. Laundry facilities are located on the ground floor of each block/cottage.
Residents enjoy the use of an in-house library and computer room, a television room and games area.
A volleyball court and large BBQ patio are popular outdoor relaxation areas. Internet access through the University network is available in all rooms for an annual connection fee and relevant University usage rates.
Being close to the city's many attractions keeps our residents actively involved in the community. Our residents also have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of activities throughout the year with other halls as well as its own special brand of Bryant fun!
