Fees Information
Each student's fees are calculated individually so you'll pay a fee that reflects the papers you have chosen. Details of your fees are included in the Enrolment Agreement that is sent to you when your application has been approved.
Fees at Waikato University consist of:
- Tuition fees
- Resource fees
- Admission Application fees
- Building levy
- Student Services levy
- U Leisure Services levy (collected on behalf of U Leisure Services Limited)
- Waikato Students' Union fee (collected on behalf of the WSU)

Domestic Student Tuition Fees
Domestic fees are paid by New Zealand citizens and students studying in New Zealand who are either New Zealand permanent residents, or citizens of Australia, Niue, Cook Islands or Tokelau. Domestic students studying overseas pay international fees.

The University is subject to fee/course costs maxima which limits the amount payable by domestic students. Fee/course cost maxima covers all compulsory course related costs.
