Citizens Advice Bureau & Community Law Waikato Legal Services
The Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) is a voluntary organisation which has a proud history of informing and guiding people so that they can deal with issues and problems and achieve satisfactory outcomes. The CAB offers free and confidential advice to assist students on almost any issue including: consumer rights, insurance, car repairs, tenancy, legal information and much more.
If the CAB cannot provide the assistance you are looking for they will discuss your options with you and provide you with the contact details for another organisation or service that can help you. Anyone living, working or studying in New Zealand can search for information in the CAB database (use keyword hamilton to limit your search to Hamilton).

If you have a legal question that you want some advice on, get in contact with the WSU today. Appointments for lawyers are managed through the WSU advocacy service, so email firstname.lastname@example.org today to sort out an appointment, or just call the WSU office on 07 856 9139. Students are entitled to a free 15 minute consultation: it’s advice only though – lawyers will not be able to act for you or take on a case.
